SeaChange Holiday Closing Dates

A big thank you to our new and ongoing clients for choosing SeaChange to help you manage your finances in 2016. The SeaChange office will be closed for Christmas from 5pm Thursday 22nd December. We’ll reopen for business on Monday 9th January.

Our team wishes you a restful and happy holiday season. Holidays are time to spend with family and recharge for the new year. It’s also a good time to get your finances in check for the year ahead.

Follow our five tips to get organised and if you’re looking for specific advice or would like a financial check up contact us to create a plan and stay on track.

1) Use your free time to review finances

December and January are the best months to take the time to review your personal and business financial health. Use your holiday time wisely to get organised, set goals for the year ahead or get on top of your 2016 paperwork. SeaChange tools and templates can help you forecast your finances. It’s halfway through the financial year so a good time to do a six month review and start the year feeling refreshed.

2) New year fresh start?

Is 2017 your year to start a business or take your family on a much needed holiday? Whatever your plans are it’s important to make sure you have your financial situation in good order to make your dreams a reality.  Create a family budget or a business plan with quarterly goals and actions to keep on track. Read our blog for more info on updating your business plan for the new year

3) Watch the credit card spending

It’s easy to get carried away at Christmas time. After Santa’s returned to the North Pole and the Christmas tree is packed away your credit card debt will still be very real. So if you’re at the shops always ask yourself “Do I really need this?” And if you do overspend on credit, contact us for more information on strategies to minimise personal debt and get the credit card back to zero.

4) Be a Xero hero – make the most of accounting in the cloud

Xero has revolutionised accounting for small to medium sized businesses. Attend one of our upcoming sessions in 2017 to find out how cloud based technology can help keep you on top of your finances.

5) Share thanks digitally

Christmas cards may be few and far between in 2016 but there’s lots of ways to share thanks in the digital age. It’s a great way to save money and encourage repeat business too. Of course there’s nothing more personal than a handwritten note but cool apps in the cloud like Shakr, Animoto or Flipagram are great to create personalised videos. It’s fun, visual and there’s plenty of festive themes to choose from to get sharing on social.
